Electronics Shop Newegg comes to Europe




One of the biggest electronics merchants in the U.S., Newegg, coming to Europe. To which countries does the store exactly, is not clear, but the U.S. store is at least in the UK.

Newegg confirmed the news himself on the official Twitter account. According to the website , the Newegg 18 million registered customers and there was a turnover of more than EUR 1.8 billion in 2010. The company sells hardware, software, games as well as white goods, clothes, watches, stationery and furniture.

In the UK, Newegg will compete with established online stores like Amazon, Scan Computers and eBuyer. In the Netherlands, the biggest competition would come from sites like Bol.com will pop up online stores from Pricewatch. However, if and when Newegg comes to the Netherlands, is not yet known. Neweggs biggest competitor, Amazon, also has plans to expand in Europe but there are few details are known about. The company would have been working on a Dutch release, reportedly already in 2012, but for unknown reasons, that did not materialize.
