English version computer magazine Chip ceases to exist
Chip computer magazine no longer appears in an English edition on the market. After thirteen stops Nijmegen publisher F & L to the originally German computer magazine due to the decrease in sales. Subscribers receive in the future the c’t.
CHIP 133 Edition 133 is the latest issue of the computer magazine, which is published in the Dutch language. “In recent months we have seen the number of subscribers and the individual sales continues to decline to the point that we had to seriously question whether continuing Chip was still achievable,” writes the editor in the editorial preface. The first Dutch chip appeared on the market in February 2003.
The Nijmegen publisher F & L therefore draws on the English version of the chip plug. The magazine is partly based on content from the German sister magazine, adapted for the Dutch and Belgian market. According F & L are too high, the cost in spite of this construction in order to make the sheet in a manner in which the quality is maintained.
