Etisalat announces financial results for the second quarter of 2013




Group revenues grew during this period to reach 9.9 billion.

The Group today announced the “communications”, one of the telecommunications companies in the emerging markets and the Middle East, Africa and Asia, with strong results for the second quarter of 2013, with an increase in revenue and the number of participants in the markets.

The group said that the main contours of the second quarter of 2013, is to approve an interim dividend of 35 Fils per share, an increase of 40% compared to the previous year. Consolidated revenues also grew by 20% to reach 9.9 billion dirhams. Growth in the number of participants in the group “communications” arrived to 143 million.

According to the “communications”, international operating income grew by 50%, and to maintain financial flexibility through net cash stood at 10.9 billion.

Consolidated revenue grew for international operations by 50% to reach 3 513 million, representing 36% of the consolidated gross income, as revenue increased in the first half of 2013 to reach 19.5 billion compared to the first half of 2012, with 16.5 billion dirhams.

In terms of number of participants, said a number of connections rose to 143 million subscribers by the end of June 2013, which represents a growth of 14%. The group said it was able to add 18 million new subscribers to its customers as a result of the growth in the overall operations of the group.
