Evernote discharges 15 percent of its staff

Evernote note service dismisses 54 staff members, about 15 percent of its total workforce. According to the CEO of Evernote, the redundancies are necessary because the growth is lagging behind the investments.

Evernote According to CEO Chris O’Neill, Evernote ‘has to adjust quickly if part of the strategy does not match expectations’. It is not known in which departments the dismissals fall. However, the CEO states that Evernote will continue to invest in the product development and engineering departments .

It has been messing with Evernote for a long time, writes TechCrunch , that two weeks ago reported that, among other things, the technical and financial top executives and the head of human resources left the company.

One source reports to TechCrunch that there has been no growth in the number of active users for six years and that the business offer of the company is not working. O’Neill writes in his message to the staff that Evernote has actually grown by 20 percent in the first half of 2018. The financial position would also be stable, he reassured the staff.

Evernote introduced a price increase in 2016 and was discredited due to the review of notes by staff.
