Some may even at a no-name smartphone like the Mobistel Cynus T1 with a price of just under 200 euros turn up your nose, but my choice was crucial for both the price and the display size.

The main reason for this choice of smartphones , both the price below 200 euros were (varies, depending on where you buy it, 20 to 30 euros) and the display size. A 4-inch model is too small, a 5-inch smartphone, however too large. The 4.3 inches of “Cynus T1” I feel for me to be optimal. Furthermore, it is absolutely out of the question for me to spend umpteen hundred euros for a smartphone that I may use only two years.

The package includes the usual components, such as user manual, battery, charger adapter, USB cable and stereo headset. A detailed manual is almost a rarity these days – I invite the most from the Internet – so I was pleasantly surprised here.
Appearance and finish

Visually, the device offers not necessarily by high quality, but that is in this price range can not be expected. The rear looks through the blue-turquoise points but made quite funny feeling in my eyes, however cheap. The smooth and refined acting front, however I like very well.

The build quality can not be faulted. The pressure points of the power, volume and low volume and camera button are good and above all, do not wobble in the holders, as I have experienced it in more expensive units.

The display seems reasonably sharp and very bright at 100 percent even in direct sunlight, however, I see nothing at all – but that’s for the numerous other smartphones that I do not know, different.
The display also acts fairly scratch resistant, in the previous three months of use, there are no scratches on the surface.
Granted, I’m also careful with your smartphone and it is always in a case.

Purpose visual alerts when the display the “Cynus T1” has an LED at the top right that looks green for missed calls and text messages and emails.
In addition, it serves as a display for charging status. During charging, the LED is red and green after.
Operating system

The operating system is Android 4:04 uploaded. Sometime soon there should be an update to 4.1.
With “Ice Cream Sandwitch” but I am absolutely satisfied and do not need to “Jelly Bean” really. As members of the “ever change a running system” – fraction of course I’ll update anyway.

The OS is not overloaded, as I have seen it in other, sometimes far more expensive equipment and have often felt, but pure Android. Installed are a few more or less essential apps.
Logically also the Google Play Store is available, with which you can access hundreds of thousands of applications.

Dual sim

One feature that you will not find yourself with many more expensive units, is the dual-SIM feature, that is, let it sit two SIM cards to accommodate normal size (no micro-SIM). In the SIM management I can set which SIM is responsible for what, so for voice calls, video calls, SMS / MMS, and data connection.
At the moment I only use a SIM card, but the first two months I had brought two. Old for now and then calls because even balance on the card was new (manual) for telephone calls to the old exchange, SMS and data traffic.
The whole thing has always worked without problems, that is, I was on the phone, for example, with the old card and then went to the Internet wirelessly via the new. In comparison to the use of only one SIM one delay was noticeable, but was not so great that it would have bothered me.

The battery lasts for the first three full loads of normal, not to heavy use (about a half hour Internet – Wi-Fi or mobile, also about listening to half an hour of music and a couple of calls and text messages – all less than 10 units) over two full days.
Of course, I’ve just in the beginning and made more frequently to discharge it within vinous hours, but I think that just happens when you are constantly constantly new apps installed, tested and uninstalled, etc.
In the event that the battery should even give up the ghost, you can replace it, it is not installed securely.
Performance and memory

I was surprised that the “Cynus T1” despite not exactly luxurious equipment still works quickly. Whether I flip through the screens, programs – or in business terms “apps” – open, surfing the Internet, scroll through settings – or or or – the smartphone is responding quickly and smoothly on motions and petitions. The same is true when multiple apps are open, where I can also see no significant loss in performance.
Also the installation of several apps – yes, I know, I’m a child playing – was not at the expense of speed.

To the performance in games, I can say nothing, for I am no gamer -. Either on the PC or on your smartphone

The videos that I have previously looked at my “Cynus T1″, all ran smoothly and without any lag.

Almost 512 MB of RAM seemed to start fairly meager, especially when I think of my in this regard well equipped PC, but half a gig is completely sufficient to my mind.

The 4 GB of memory with 1 GB internal memory and a 1.5 GB SD card are not the world, but you can upgrade this to another by means of microSD card up to 32 GB.
As the App Store with 1 GB available, eluting with special apps also has the ability to outsource applications to the external SD card. Despite installation of several apps, I still have about 500 MB of memory left – swapping I also needed yet.

Both wireless and 3G function properly.
The described in some forums bad connection I can not confirm I. The WLAN is absolutely stable in terms of speed and I can not complain too.
HSDPA, provided in each area is available, after an initial, slight delay too fast – the speed here is also dependent on the mobile operator yes.
Equally surprising is the login and logout to the appropriate networks vonstatten.

Bluetooth works well, and I’ve tried a Bluetooth headset. File transfers with Bluetooth worked previously all. One should not, however, be permanently switched on, because the battery empties it out much faster than if it is disabled and is turned on only when needed.

The GPS is fast, usually very accurate and can detect up to about 5 to 15 meters, where I am currently. If it is fine mood, it even works on exactly the meter.
Microphone and speaker

The voice quality I like that and so far I have heard nothing negative in this respect from my interlocutors – microphone and speakers are so fine, same goes for the speakerphone. The voices are easily heard and minimal distortion.

The camera is not one of the highest quality, I think that one can not ask for the price. However, it gives for my taste quite decent shots and the flash works fine. The autofocus responds quickly.
The video function I have not tested because films is not my cup of Sun

In terms of headphones at first I thought, for the price you can really only expect more or less scrap, but I was pleasantly surprised. The headset I like especially in conjunction with the app »Poweramp Music Player”, which I find worlds better than the default music app, very good.

My 32GB memory card from A-Data has been recognized with ease. The access thereto is still afloat, which is certainly with the “Class 10”.

To the loading time I can not really say anything. I hang the phone from going to sleep to the charger and pull it after getting up again. I turn to load the “Cynus T1” from each.

Because I at least so far, the purpose is not to open up, I did not “Cynus T1” rooted, so I can not report on this.

Finally I can say that you – you have no exaggerated claims – for the price you get a great smartphone on which you have a lot of fun.
Meanwhile, I own it for three months and during this time it has not rumgezickt once.
Thus, if we apply excessive value on brand names and absolute high-fuss, is the “Cynus T1” in my eyes is a good choice.
