Despite the proliferation of LTE networks in Russia, the question of voice traffic on them still has a special meaning. In Russia, a full launch VoLTE expected in 2015, but now there are questions on the side of the regulator. In particular, this concerns the procedural documents by the Ministry of Communications, regulating the work of VoLTE, hardware and software system for SORM. This, for the most part, are now engaged in all Russian operators. When the documents are accepted, in the Ministry of Communications did not specify.

If we talk about technology, the MTS testing VoLTE in Moscow and in St. Petersburg in 2013. In May 2014 the company together with Nokia Networks and Cisco organized a test area in the capital for voice in LTE using cloud technologies.
