Experts nominate Minister Plasterk for Big Brother Awards
Following the public also have experts consisting of scientists, columnists, activists and business people, Ronald Plasterk nominated for the Big Brother Awards. The prize for the biggest privacy violator will be awarded on 28 October.
The experts nominate Plasterk for its draft bill for an expansion of tapbevoegdheden for secret services, the unjustified secrecy of tapping statistics and the illegal tapping of lawyers. Earlier this week, the Chief of the National Police was nominated because of his bet on predictive policing. The Van der Valk Hengelo joins battle for the prize, as does the voluntary and structurally guest list to the police.
Plasterk was previously nominated by the public. The other nominees for the public are Achmea and Microsoft. On Wednesday, October 28th share Bits of Freedom, the Big Brother Awards in the Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam. The civil rights movement praised the prizes to the most privacy violators of the past year, Voting for the Audience Award can be up to October 27th 23:59.
