Eye-Fi X2U: New tool makes old cards continue to be used
The Eye-Fi SD cards are a handy thing. A card reader or a cable is not necessary, content can be transmitted via wireless to and from the card. Too bad if the manufacturer suddenly the underlying server shuts down, the cards are then namely unusable. Such was the beginning of July and the message for the cards of Pro X2 series. Thus, the cards not only are a normal SD card, but still can also transfer data via radio, a new tool has been announced, which works only locally, thus also independent of the servers to be deployed.
For the Mac is now the Eye-Fi X2 Utility (X2U) available. The tool does not come with the same features as Eye-Fi Center or Eye-Fi View, it is intended only for the direct transfer of files. To use it, users should uninstall other Eye-Fi software beforehand. For the tool, there is no support and it will be probably not extended.
For Windows X2U should still appear, Eye-Fi can here but call is no time frame. A little time and is still, the server will shut down until 15 September. The download of X2U and information on how to use the tool, you will find at Eye-Fi collected neatly. After all, one way the older maps continued to use and also to activate.Viewing:-107
