Facebook is better at detecting freebooting videos




Facebook is copyright infringement in videos on the social network tracing emphatically. The company implements a new system for faster and better able to recognize when users publish copyright-protected content.

In a blog post makes Facebook indicate that the company wants to better combat the phenomenon called freebooting in the future. At the time used by the social network technology Audible Magic in order to determine on the basis of the audio or a video is original or has been copied from somewhere else. Facebook now wants to improve this system. The algorithms should be strengthened to detect copyright violations, but also the procedures to report such offending content on Facebook, to be effective in the future.

Facebook will also make its own software that detects videos. A select group of content creators get Facebook access to the tools that make it possible for them to see which pages, profiles, groups and locations have their videos. The tool must approve millions of videos quickly and accurately, and publishers can then indicate any videos on Facebook. The tool will soon be a small closed beta test with a number of companies, channels, and video-makers.

Multiple YouTube creators complain that their videos on Google’s video site to be downloaded and uploaded to Facebook. As deserve the owners of YouTube channels nothing but Facebook itself and the uploader does. In some cases run YouTube users millions of views wrong. It is unclear whether the actions of Facebook only recognize a copied video from within Facebook or that they will know to explain the link with YouTube videos.
