Facebook is currently testing a new feature on its social network that appears as a new tab with the “space rocket” icon, and includes pages from pages that are not followed by the user.

The US tech giant began testing the new tab, which can be described as another “news page”, but it aims to drive users to admire and follow pages that fit their interests, more than a week ago. The tab appears for users of the Facebook application on Android and iOS.

The CMOS tab shows publications from media pages and organizations that Facebook believes to be user-friendly, which change whenever the page occurs.

Another recent “news” test is not new on Facebook. Another tab has recently appeared with a non-rocket icon, a small box, but it was exclusively for Facebook users on the Android app. On the same idea on the IOS system under the name Explore Explore.

Facebook, which has the world’s largest social networking network with more than 1.86 billion active users per month, is always keen to make users browse its network for as long as possible and understands, based on the pages and videos it has seen, what content He is intrigued.

In 2012, the company launched the “Interests Lists” feature as a way to organize pages and friends according to interests, but that feature did not have the required spread. In 2014, Facebook tested another interest-focused feature through its mobile application, Rooms, which allows users to discuss multiple themes, but the application fails.

A Facebook spokesman confirmed the new tab test, saying in a statement: “We are testing feeds that complement popular articles, videos and images, and adapt them to each person based on the content they may be interested in. We have come from people who want an easy way to explore new content they have not yet contacted. ”
