Facebook launched a safety guide for journalists as part of the Facebook Press Project , which provides tools and courses for journalists.

Facebook has created a platform of resources, designed specifically for journalists to help them, ensure their safety and protect their personal accounts, in cooperation with the European Press Center, the Committee to Protect Journalists, Connected Seafley, the American Press Association and the James F. Foley Legacy Foundation.
