Find a Question:
Facebook makes algorithms for pattern recognition in images opensource
Facebook has meant for machine made learning software available under an open source license. The tools must accelerate include self-learning algorithms for pattern recognition in images and videos.
Research on his blog made Facebook familiar tools to donate to Torch, a framework that is mainly used by scientists and is intended for machine learning and the creation of “neural” networks. Facebook says that the software that makes it available under an open source license can significantly accelerate the learning capabilities of algorithms. Among other scientists and creators of applications could benefit from the tools, says Facebook.
Facebook says that its tools can be up to 23 times faster than what is currently built into the Torch framework. It refers in particular algorithms that are used for so-called convolutional neural networks, which are inspired by biological processes to recognize images: the algorithms must be able to identify patterns in images and videos.
Facebook promises that it will still feature updates the tools in the future. Analyze the social networking site used such software probably already own for content posted by users.Viewing:-209
