The social network Facebook announced on Thursday that its smart assistant, known as M, reached its instant messaging platform after the end of the testing period, so that it appears in users’ chat windows to suggest the actions it can take on behalf of the user.

The feature begins with access to the Messenger platform on the Android and iOS systems in the United States, with the company’s intention to expand its reach to more countries around the world in the coming months. The network began testing the Smart Assistant for the first time in December.

David Markus, vice president of Facebook for messaging products, introduced the idea of the M-enabled smartphone for the first time in 2015. According to Markus, the assistant can actually complete tasks on behalf of the user, unlike other artificial intelligence services available on the market.

The assistant can send posters, pay or ask for money, share location, plan and start a survey in group talks and order a ride service via LiftOper. Then, the process of testing the so-called proposed responses will begin, which means that the proceedings will be presented to make them more attractive and customizable.

The current system works by analyzing the user’s conversation and searching for keywords to trigger the assistant’s suggestions. The Smart Assistant also looks for keywords that indicate that the user is trying to make a plan with a friend so that he or she tries to help coordinate that plan.

He needed access to the assistant previously filed within the trial period, and the assistant was associated with a team of real humans who oversee the conversations, explaining the data to improve the M helper through automated learning techniques, the helper has greatly improved over the past 18 months by analyzing many conversations And handling requests.

The assistant tries to be useful when needed by arriving at daily conversations. The user can, of course, mute the assistant through the Settings panel if no Smart Assistant is in private conversations, and certain suggestions can be muted so that they will not appear frequently later.
