Facebook releases app for making short videos

Facebook has released Lasso, an application that allows users to make short videos. These videos can be equipped with filters, and it is also possible to add audio. That should result in ‘cheerful videos’ that can be shared.

The responsible developer at Facebook for Lasso let the arrival of the application know in a message on Twitter. The software is available for Android in the Play Store as well as iOS in the App Store . Facebook praises Lasso as a way to create short and funny videos that can then be shared with others.

Various filters are available for creating and editing the videos that can be placed over the image, but it is also possible to add audio. The available audio clips are built into the application, so that users do not have to search for them themselves, and probably prevent license problems with used music.

The videos made can be shared directly, but it is also possible to make this part of Facebook Stories. Logging into the app is also possible via a Facebook account, but also via Instagram, which is also owned by Facebook.
