Facebook: suppress read status in the browser
I reported here recently from a Android App which makes it possible to read Facebook messages without your Compared to the “read status” experiences . The reasons to suppress this status can be varied and are not part of the coverage.
The question emerged whether something in the browser – leaving realize – as Google Chrome. Yes, of course, you can block certain requests from Facebook using adblocker, it’s even easier course by extension. But here you have something keeping them open.
Thus, there are extensions for Google Chrome, to suppress the read status. Most recently, the extension is Facebook Chat ™ Privacy recommended, which I advise against, although they may not be malignant. But it requires all the permissions that are available as the Google Chrome browser, and also lets the developer with reference to the official Facebook created the illusion, as if it were an official extension. Trustworthy other way. (Update: the developer logs in our comments, promises help)
