Facebook wants to improve telecom infrastructure with Intel and Nokia

Facebook is the Telecom Infrastructure Project started with providers, network operators and system builders to be brought together to work on new infrastructure for telecom networks. Among others, Intel and Nokia are on board.

According to Facebook, it is becoming easier to share video and VR images but the network capacity growth is not as fast as needed. Telecom Infrastructure Project should therefore work together companies and organizations to reference designs that use providers in the construction of new generation networks such as those for 5g. The designs involve techniques in network access, backhaul and management.
