The Guardian newspaper said it had seen internal documents leaked from Facebook showing how the company owns the largest social networking network in the world, with the issue of reducing issues of hate speech, terrorism, pornography and self-abuse on the platform.

The newspaper added that new challenges such as “pornographic revenge” have embarrassed Facebook administrators who often have only ten seconds to make a decision. The Guardian said Facebook is reviewing more than 6.5 million false account reports a week.

Many content supervisors have concerns about the inconsistencies and strange nature of some policies, the Guardian said. Supervisors believe that sexual content, for example, is the most complex and confusing.

“Keeping Facebook safe is the most important thing we do, and we’re working hard to make Facebook as secure as possible with freedom of expression, and this requires a lot of thinking,” said Monica Beckett, head of Facebook’s global policy department. In detailed and often difficult questions, so creating a correct image is something we take seriously. ”

Facebook said it was using a program to intercept abusive content before it was published on the Web site, but it was still in its infancy. The leaked documents include internal training manuals, spreadsheets and flowcharts.

The newspaper gave an example of Facebook’s policy that allowed people to try to broadcast live self-abuse because “they do not want to punish or subject people in distress to censorship.”

According to the Guardian, Facebook administrators have been told recently to “climb” to senior managers any content related to the “13 Reasons Why”, a Netflix drama series that tells the story of a high school student suicide, because she fears that the behavior is inspiring and compelling For others to imitate.
