Fiberglass project Heerhugowaard has far fewer registrations than it claimed

In Heerhugowaard, not 23 percent of the residents opted for fiber optics from E-Fiber, as this organization claimed, but only 3.3 percent. At 35 percent free construction would follow.

E-Fiber Heerhugowaard On the page of E-Fiber, it is still stated at the time of writing that the number of registrations received in Heerhugowaard is 23 percent. Alderman Monique Stam van Heerhugowaard, however, announced Thursday evening to the city council that the actual percentage is 3.3.

The municipality suspects that E-Fiber intentionally increased the percentage to move residents to a final sprint. The aim of the fiber optic project was to allow 35 percent of the residents to sign up for a subscription for next Sunday. From that percentage, the construction of the network would be free.

Due to the misrepresentation, according to the Heerhugowaards Dagblad, there are also doubts in the municipalities of Koggenland and Schagen . At those municipalities, the numerator stands at 27 and 25 percent respectively.
