Files Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app hints on a PC version

There are new indications for a possible PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2. The name of a file in the companion app of the game refers to making automatic connection to the PC. Rockstar Games has not comment on the find yet.

User BlackStout of the site Rockstar Intel has found several parameters in the app. One of them is named ‘PARAM_companionAutoConnectIpPC’. In addition, several files have been found that refer, among other things, to Nvidia’s txaa, the quality of shadows, water reflection and Oculus and other vr-related terms. The companion app came out on October 26 together with the game . Through the app players can disable the hud, open a card and mark waypoints .

There were already rumors about a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Gamenieuwswebsite VG247 had seen on the LinkdIn profile of Rockstar Games that the PC is in the list of platforms on which the game appeared. The list has now been changed. Red Dead Redemption 2 has so far appeared on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
