Firefox add-on YouTube Unblocker installed malware
An add-on for Firefox that geoblokkades can be bypassed on YouTube has been blocked by Mozilla. Unblocker YouTube has been banned since the add-on installed unseen malware and tampered with the security settings of the browser.
A user of the add-on found out that YouTube Unblocker changes made to the file user.js to bypass Firefox security settings. Result was partly ignored the Mozilla blocklist so that the add-on then noticed another add-on could download. Avast noticed this add-on called Adblock Converter as malware.
Mozilla has the appropriate add-on to its blocklist placed , so he will be removed by users from the browser. Who YouTube Unblocker used by ghacks.net recommended to manually remove all traces of the add-on and the malicious download. That may in Safe Mode of the browser or the Refresh to use feature, which all add-ons completely deleted.
The Firefox add-on would have had hundreds of thousands of users. On the makers unblocker.yt website also shows that there are variations for Chrome, Safari and Opera. However, this can not be downloaded through the official channels from the browsers themselves.Viewing:-184
