Firmware update: Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router (R7000)




Netgear has released new firmware for its AC1900 Nighthawk Smart Wi-Fi Router, also known as R7000. This router can transmit both the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz band and receive data, and has a theoretical throughput of up to 1300 Mbit / s. In addition, five Gigabit Ethernet ports are provided, one of which is on the WAN side and the other four can be used internally, and a USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 connection available. The version number of this firmware release is firmly put in and the changelog is as follows:

New Features & Enhancements:
Supports remote access through the NETGEAR genie app.
NOTE: You must download the latest genius app in order to use remote access.
Improves the Installation Wizard: Adds Access Point mode detection and new firmware checking and updating.
6rd supports IPv6, IPv6 dual stack PPPoE, and the manual IPv6 DNS setting.
Supports VLAN / Bridge function for Internet traffic.
Increases the maximum port forwarding rule to 64.
Supports the traditional Chinese language.
Supports the XFS filesystem.
Bug Fixes:
DLNA decoder updates the library in order to fix the issue-which in some DLNA media files can not play.
Fixes the port forwarding issue in-which you can not use port 1194.
