Firmware update: Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router (R7000)




Netgear has released new firmware for its AC1900 Nighthawk Smart Wi-Fi Router, also referred to as R7000. This router can transmit on both the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz band and receive data, and has a theoretical throughput of up to 1300 Mbit / s. In addition, five Gigabit Ethernet ports are provided, one of which is on the WAN side and the other four can be used internally, and a USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 connection available. This update includes several bug fixes, including in the port forwarding. That is unfortunately the consequence is that all existing port forwarding rules are lost and must be reentered.

New Features:

Supports Arlo camera. Set up the R7000 as an Arlo base station and connect an Arlo camera to the R7000 without Needing an additional base station ..

Bug Fixes:

Fixes the issue in 1237-which port can not be used on port forwarding.
Fixes the issue in the Kwilt binaries-which can not be downloaded in some cases.
Fixes the issue in-which MTU is not restored When IPv6 is disabled.

Please Note: If you have setup port forwarding, it needs to be re-configured after updating to firmware V1.0.6.28. Please remove all entries in the port forwarding table and add them back to reconfigure it.
