QNAP has released an update to version 4.2 of the firmware that is on various models of its NAS devices. The first thing you notice in version 4.2 is the completely redesigned interface. In addition, the security is improved. So now you can set a two-step login procedure, via an app generated with a login code. There can now be streamed to different devices at the same time media and there are several improvements related to virtualization and Storage Management. Fixed an issue where the NAS would not accept a domain group’s name if it contains special characters.
Fixed an issue where email notifications would be disabled When using 2-step verification if there is no username & password set in the SMTP server.
