Find a Question:
First seeder of the Ashley Madison torrent was a Dutch server
The server that was used to distribute the data of the second Ashley Madison leak, or seeding, stands in Amsterdam and is owned hosting company Ecatel. Meanwhile, the seeder is no longer online, and is the swarm with an incomplete torrent.
Ecatel Hosting Company is registered in the United Kingdom, are headquartered in The Hague, and the server itself is in Amsterdam. This appears not only from the website, but a whois lookup based on the IP address (188.8.131.52) of the seeder confirms this as well. One possible reason why the seeder is now online, hackers may be that the web interface of the torrent client have left unsecured. After several hours of other users discovered this, and they were tinkering with the settings of the server. Then the seeder went offline.
According to a user on Ars Technica looms a seeder another from time to time in Argentina. This would sparsely feed data to the swarm, disappear, and then reappear to introduce some new data. It is possible that in the coming days or weeks, so the second data dump from the hackers still put entirely online. Now is the progress in the 90%.
Ashley Madison is a dating site where people in a relationship can be strange. Hacking Group Impact Team hacked earlier this year, the servers of the site and commanded parent company Avid Life Media to both Ashley Madison Established as One, to get another dating site, offline. This partly because the paid delete function of Ashley Madison does not actually erase the data of a user. Avid Life Media has not met the requirements and so far two loads corporate data put online by hackers. In total, more than 10 gigabytes of data on street including emails from the director of Avid Life Media, and customer data from Ashley Madison members.
The Dutch hoster Ecatel has been in the news have been linked to illegal activities on the web. On its website says the company that the privacy of its clients has priority. Tweakers Ecatel has asked for comment.

There also seem to benefit from some American politicians in the database. That will probably still be a little nervous I suspect : D

Sorry but …. what is Ashley Madison?
iceblink • August 23 2015 09:34
An operator of infidelity.
edit: Actually bizarre, they seem purely commotion be great. How many people are not doing the same at normal dating sites? That is cheating you is a characteristic which is technically irrelevant. Do anything special before going on the product to be changed. Only the anonymity of the users should be okay. : +

apparently a Canadian dating site and social network service.
Edric • August 23, 2015 10:01
When I read that it hit me inside,
In the past we also had that ring lines and text messaging services.
But you never knew who was behind the line, and several times it was shown that it was a big scam. When the SMS services you could as a man to work!
An illusion richer, but financially bankrupt.

I believe something with cheating by using this site. A kind of dating site for people who already have an (poly) relationship. Apart concept and obviously more than a million people to use.
No one else

But then the “Second Love” in the Netherlands, a total not it seem.
If you 600,000 profiles (17 million people) compared with the 1.000.000+ profiles of Canadian website (35 million inhabitants) which figures are therefore just in line with each other ..

Not to get negative, but how could you miss it. This is not something small. Not just news on TV has talked about this, but lots of tech news sites. So you can not tell me you do not know what it is.
Update: I’ve added a link on The Verge where they put all the updates on the Ashley Madison Hack in a row. Maybe this will bring you up to date: http://www.theverge.com/2…cked-news-data-names-list.

I have not followed the news about this quite carefully, but as I understand it is the 2nd data dump so where to do in the media lately are not 100% uploaded? Consequently, there are still profiles “added”?
The number of 594 NLers who were members of that Toko can therefore still be up?
ThaStealth • August 23, 2015 09:41
No they mean that the torrent only 90% has been uploaded and can get another 10% again when the server goes online on their back.
August 23, 2015 09:42
Why creeps me in this kind of principled standpoints pro privacy yet still the thought that you enabled ‘malicious’ still more favors than the well-wishers?
As if saying “sorry that this illegal, amoral and criminal activities are facilitated by that deliver a lot of damage in our society, but should you have to accept,” I “find my privacy more important.” There is something selfish / a social issue in ….

No, Ecatel is an obscure provider who has often been in the news because of illegal activities that are run out of their network. This has been playing for so long (I think since 2008) that I wonder why these telco still has an upstream connection. Reminds me a bit of the hoster Cyber Bunker.
