Fitbit Charge 3-fitness tracker becomes

waterproof and gets touchscreen
Photos and specifications have been published of the Fitbit Charge 3. It can be seen that the third generation of the fitness tracker is waterproof and has a full touchscreen. Gps is not present, as with the current models.

According to the specifications, the new fitness tracker is waterproof up to fifty meters deep. Again there would be no GPS built in, which means that users have to take a smartphone to record their route and speed when they start exercising.

The information and images of the Fitbit Charge 3 have been put online by Android Authority . According to the website, the new model has a full touchscreen. In the previous versions the display can be used to change interface, but there is no full touch functionality.

Thanks to the touchscreen, the Fitbit Charge 3 would also receive functions that are now only available with the Fitbit Ionic and Versa smartwatches. This is probably Quick Reply, for responding to incoming messages or calls. That would only work with paired Android devices. The sports watch has interchangeable straps and the battery would last up to seven days.

Furthermore, Android Authority thinks that there is a Special Edition with nfc, so that Fitbit Pay can be used. This payment method is not supported by banks in the Benelux. When Fitbit announces the Charge 3 itself, it is not yet known. The Charge 2 was announced at the end of August two years ago.
