Forza developer: all our future games also come out for Windows
Microsoft subsidiary Turn 10, the development studio responsible for the Forza series, says that all future games will be released for both Windows and Xbox. That seems to indicate that the full Forza franchise is no longer just for consoles.
During the Build event Microsoft game developers talked about the work they do in Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. This free version of Forza, which only opens on Windows 10 was already announced and serves as a showcase for the development of the Universal Windows platform coupled with DirectX 12.
It was already known that Apex was a march towards more Forza on the PC, but this statement has been confirmed that all future share in the Forza Motorsport series also released for Windows. Whether this also applies to the Forza Horizon series is not entirely clear which games made Turn 10 so far in cooperation with Playground Games.
Turn 10 is a first party -studio, which is owned by Microsoft. The studio is since 2001 the Forza games commissioned by the Xbox maker. Forza is not the only console game that comes to Windows. Earlier this year it was announced that former Xbox One-exclusive Quantum Break also comes to the Windows Store.
The Ultimate Edition of Gears of Wars was released simultaneously for Windows and the Xbox One and earlier this week Killer Instinct appeared in the Windows Store. These free-to-play game was to play since the release of the Xbox One only on the console.
That come to Windows console games becoming more in line with Microsoft’s plans. Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division, made the end of 2014 already known that there would be a greater focus on gaming for Windows. The recent developments seem to be the result of there.Viewing:-180
