Four out of ten Dutch people have mobile subscription with ‘cheap’ provider




About four in ten Dutch with a mobile subscription that ended in a ‘cheap’ provider. That has Telecompaper calculated based on its own research. Providers with their own networks remain by far the largest.

The number of subscribers of the cheaper providers is increasing, according to Telecompaper because 42 percent of the Dutch when picking out a subscription to watch the price and because 43 percent of subscriptions is now sim-only subscription form in which the smaller providers often cheaper options have. Telecompaper indicates the cheaper providers as ‘no frills providers’ providers without frills.

In terms of subscriptions, Vodafone and T-Mobile, the largest 40 percent of subscribers is one of these two brands. We are the leader, but the customers are spread over several brands, including KPN and Hi, which based on the published pie chart together about as many subscribers seem to have as Vodafone or T-Mobile alone. Telecompaper is based on research among 12,000 Dutch, answering questions online.
