Foxconn hires new workers to build the iPhone 6 because of the high demand for smartphones




According to the Taiwanese business portal DigiTimes, due to the high demand on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Foxconn has opened an additional set of workers at its plants in the Chinese cities of Shenzhen and Zhengzhou.


According to the publication, to meet the demand for new smartphones, and on the eve of the start of sales of the iPhone 6 in China, Foxconn announced the hiring of employees who will be engaged in their assembly. However, as the newspaper notes, now work on the assembly lines are not so appealing to the young people in China, but because Foxconn may face problems in the recruitment of the required number of workers.

I must say that for the first weekend Apple sold more than 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Now they are available in more than 20 countries, including Russia, and by the end of 2014 the new smart phones will be launched in a total of 115 markets. And by that time, according to analysts, sales of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus reached 90 million copies.
