Free tweak allows you to use Apple CarPlay on the iPhone and iPad without external display




In Cydia tweak released a new interface for automotive Apple CarPlay on the iPhone and iPad. Ignition app allows everybody to transfer technology to mobile devices, without the need to connect to the system board of the machine.


Through the efforts of Canadian programmer Adam Bell CarPlay technology was reinvigorated. Now it can be used on iOS-devices that do not connect the mobile device to an external display. This is very important in view of the limited support CarPlay by automakers.


CarPlay involves connecting iPhone to car multimedia system and control via touch screen, steering wheel controls or voice commands, functions of a smartphone, such as phone calls, play music, navigation, work with SMS. As conceived by Apple, technology is minimally distracting the driver and can be used on the road a variety of services, from voice assistant Siri to obtain information on weather and traffic jams.



Bell was first talked about the idea tweak in late November. Thought transfer CarPlay on iOS developer was born after he tried to connect iGadzhetov to his car. He decided that the tablet is quite able to replace the vehicle on-board system, so it can easily get directions, view contacts, download podcasts and listen to music.


Ignition is a complete version of the car shell Apple. It can be installed from Cydia on any device with iOS and use compatible with the technology applications. This package is available free of charge.
