French space agency and Google work together on Internet balloons




The Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales, the French space agency, has partnered with Google to Project Loon. Both parties will benefit from each other’s expertise, which Google gains access to flight analysis for the Internet balloons.

CNES made ​​the collaboration with Google announced on its website. According to the French space agency, a contribution is made to Project Loon. Project Loon is an initiative of Google to bring the Internet to developing countries through balloons floating in the stratosphere. Compared with last year, Google has already made ​​considerable improvements: now fly balloons ten times as long as a year earlier.
