Fujifilm promises to improve autofocus X-T1 with firmware update




Fujifilm FinePix X-T1 for its high-end camera system to release a new firmware version to improve the autofocus system. In addition to the camera firmware 4.0 will make available a number of new modes.

According to Fujifilm, the new firmware improves the accuracy of the autofocus system for FinePix X-T1 and expensive Graphite Silver Edition especially when shooting pictures in low light or with moving subjects. In addition, firmware 4.0 provides an autofocus mode with eye detection, an auto macro mode and the ability to manually adjust the exposure compensation to users who use the manual settings when taking pictures.

The camera manufacturer also promises to improve the video mode. Thus, the autofocus system should also work smoothly when shooting movies and adjustments to the algorithm the HD video images have a “natural” life picture.

The new 4.0 firmware is not immediately available, according to Engadget Fujifilm intends to issue the next month.
