Fujitsu has created a technology that enables a normal web camera man counted the pulse

Fujitsu Labs does not cease to surprise us. Most recently, it announced that a new high-speed mode (100 Gb / s) transmission of data on an optical fiber, using the old protocols and components. Now the company says it has developed a new technology for identifying and analyzing the human pulse, using only the information from the image of a human face, filmed webcam.

The principle of operation of the new technology is based on the examination of the human skin, which, as you know, has the ability to change its color and brightness depending on the intensity of the subcutaneous flow of blood that occur in a particular area. The basis for all this is the hemoglobin – the main component of red blood cells, which has in its composition the iron atoms are oxidized. Therefore, by the way, we have red blood.

The new technology Fujitsu, for the detection of human heart webcam is required to make just one shot in five seconds. Then follows as a special application for this period of time the color of the skin, analyzes the data and outputs the result of the current pulse of man. The accuracy of the analysis carried out in this thanks to multi-point scanning surface. The system does not take into account the data on changes in facial features.

What is interesting, the technology does not require special equipment. All you need – this is a good webcam to read information and a special application for the analysis of the results.

In Fujitsu said that the main field of application for this kind of technology can be a variety of hospitals and medical facilities, and any other areas where you need an easy and quick way to get important information about the current state of the human body, which does not need to use complex equipment.
