Gartner expects global cargo growth of computers and phones to 1.5% by 2015

Research firm Gartner predicted that growing shipments of personal computers, tablets, smart phones, 1.5% to 2.5 billion units this year, discounted roof projections, estimated earlier that shipments will grow by 2.8%.

Gartner said Tuesday that reduced expectations primarily due to the presence of a slowdown in buying PCs in Western Europe, Russia and Japan, after the rising value of the dollar to increase the hardware prices.

The company said it doesn’t expect to get the recovery in the global market for personal computers until 2016.

Were Gartner has published a report last month, which estimated the attainment of global smartphone sales to end users of 336 million during the first quarter of the year 2015, an increase of 19.3% compared to the same quarter last year.
