The stage is set for the 2019 JEE Advanced examination and the applicants are revving up their preparations as the current year draws to its last segment. It is a well-known fact that this is one of the toughest examinations, if not the most, held in India for getting admission into the best engineering Institutes in the country; which include the IITs and NITs. The exam has two stages the main and the advanced. The students who are able to clear the JEE main phase are allowed into the next phase, which is termed as JEE advanced.

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), which is the conducting body of the examination, has already declared the important dates for the JEE Advanced 2019. The JEE Advanced registration procedure will commence in the first week of May, 2019 and will continue till the second week. The examination will be held in the second week of May while the results will be declared in the third week of June 2019. This being the most prestigious and challenging technical examination of the country, a total number of 2, 24,000 candidates are eligible for attempting the examination.

To select the brightest minds from the country, the examination challenges the fundamentals that a student has developed in the 11th and 12th standards in a variety of ways. It tests not only the knowledge but also the concept and the analytical skills of the students through the questions based on the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The format of the JEE Advanced exam is computer based and it can be given in two languages, English and Hindi. It has two papers each of which is further divided into three sections and each paper is of three hours duration.

Here, skill and analytics need to move hand in hand which makes in necessary candidates should have every formula and equation ready at their fingertips for fast working. Though the JEE Advanced exam requires long term preparation from the candidates, the last minute recaps are no less important. It is equally important for a student, not to panic even if he or she does not know some answers during the mock tests. The students also need to go through the entire syllabus and should not ignore the areas where they are weak. The applicants need to note that the JEE Advanced 2019 examination will also be a test of one’s mental strength and focus so it is important to remain calm and as relaxed as possible before the D-day.
