Gears of War 4 Preview – Back to basics
This fourth installment of the Gears of War series is exciting. In addition, we are not so much goals on the content, but more on development. It is the first game in the series that is not created by Epic Games. It is also the first game in the series where Cliff Bleszinski is not involved, the charismatic lead game designer who ever invented the series. Bleszinski has himself begun and now works with Boss Key Productions to lawbreakers, and Epic is working on somewhat similar Paragon. Both Bleszinski and Epic have too little to say about Gears of War, as Microsoft in 2014 acquired the rights to the game.

The console maker then took the bold decision to leave the fourth Gears of War by making it completely unknown The Coalition, a studio in Vancouver that still has no game to his name. The Coalition counterpart must be of 343 Industries, Microsoft’s own studio, which oversees the development of all the Halo games. The Coalition also is fully owned by Microsoft. To ensure continuity a little bit, Microsoft Rod Fergusson hired, at Epic the man who has led the production of the Gears games smoothly. To ensure continuity even more, Fergusson from Epic Unreal Engine 4, moreover, took it, so we again expect an old-fashioned impressive appearance in the new game.
Yet just fall on that front, the appearance, the first differences. Especially the appearance of the human characters in the game. Those are just a little less checkered, slightly less square than you expect from the series. This applies to JD Fenix, one that directs you on the battlefield, but especially for Kait Diaz, one of your computer-controlled teammates. Kait looks almost refined out in comparison with the wardrobes from the first games. This is reinforced by the language of the game. Was that in the previous games have very flat and one-dimensional; Here it is all just a little less tough. This is the game for good. Precisely because they show a more human side in the conversations, the characters move much more life. Where you previously could fill out in advance all the conversations, it is now worthwhile to listen to them. Incidentally, what look happy concerned not only muscles language.
