“Germany does not provide Internet data longer NSA ‘
The German secret service BND provides no data on Internet traffic to the NSA, German media report. To that end would be decided after it emerged that the German secret service for years US authorities would have helped in espionage.
NSA Since Monday indicates the monitoring station of the German secret service in Bad Aibling no internet data through to the Americans; only information on faxed documents and phone calls are still passed. It writes the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
The reason there are still faxes and phone calls are transmitted is that the NSA for such step has to justify why they should be placed. In the internet data that is not up to now the case. Following revelations about help from the Germans at US spy demanded the German government that the Internet taps would be justified. The NSA indicated that it was unable to do in the short term, which stopped the transmission of internet data.
Last month came out that the German secret service, the NSA would have helped largely by espionage in Europe. In addition, many Internet data would be channeled to the NSA, and would be monitored include foreign top officials. Also, aircraft manufacturer Airbus would be spied upon.
