USA: Germany gets less information when Huawei supplies 5g network equipment

government of the United States has informed the German government that it will get less information if Germany deals with the Chinese Huawei as a supplier of equipment for the 5G networks in the country.

The American ambassador in Germany, Richard A. Grenell, has written a letter to the German Minister of Economy with this warning, writes the WSJ . This medium states that it has seen the letter. If there is green light for Huawei in Germany, sharing information will not remain at the current level, says the ambassador.

The United States is trying to convince all sorts of allies not to work with Huawei, for fear that the company can spy for the Chinese government through its equipment. It is the first time, however, that President Trump’s government has issued such warnings. In the fight against terror, the intelligence of the US is very important for European intelligence services.

This warning to the address of Germany is not for nothing. According to reports , Germany is considering allowing Huawei equipment for 5G networks , also from the observation that there is no evidence that Huawei could use its equipment for espionage purposes.

Earlier, there were also alerts that the British intelligence service based on unpublished research is of the opinion that the risk of using Huaweis 5g equipment is manageable. The Portuguese provider Altice has already signed a cooperation agreement with Huawei at the end of last year for the creation of a 5g network.
