Gigabyte Announces GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming in

Gigabyte has announced the GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming graphics. The Taiwanese manufacturer provides the GTX 1080 with ‘Fri-link, which consists of two additional HDMI ports on the’ inside ‘of the card in combination with a front panel and a bracket.

The core clock speeds of the card Gigabyte does not mention, but the gddr5x memory is 10.010MHz a fraction faster than the Founder’s Edition of the card. Gigabyte puts the Wind Force Stack 3X cooler on the GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming . This cooler consists of three 100mm fans which the middle one lies partly under the other two, and rotates in the opposite direction. This would optimize the airflow and provide more efficient heat dissipation.

The manufacturer delivers the card in a Premium Pack Xtreme VR Link accessory. This makes use of the fact that the card separately from the mainstream connectors on the rear of the cabinet also has two HDMI connectors on the inside, which can be connected to a special front panel or a bracket on the back of the cabinet. For example, a user can choose to join a VR goggles at the front or at the back of the cabinet. In total, the card three display ports, three times HDMI and a DVI-D port. The Xtreme Gaming card is further customize LED lighting to provide.

Prices and availability date Gigabyte has not yet been published. In the video also mentions Gigabyte GTX 1070. On his website not yet GTX 1070 Xtreme Gaming, but this variant, there seems also to come.
