Gigabyte shows compact Brix System with Skylake CPU and GTX 950M

Gigabyte has a new model in its mini-PC series Brix shown at CeBIT in Hanover. The model is referred to as Brix Skylake associate professor and has a different look than its famous predecessors. The aluminum housing is twice as high as wide and deep, with 22 centimeters.

The housing measure at the foot 11 by 11 centimeters and has an inclined surface over the entire length where the various connections and the power switch are in. This panel is also a network connection, the connection for the power supply, a display port, a mini display port and HDMI connector. Furthermore there are in addition to the audio jacks, three USB 3.0 ports and two USB 3.1 ports, one as type c.

On the inside Gigabyte provides an unnamed Intel Skylakeprocessor whose integrated Intel HD 520 card does not have to do the graphic calculations, since an Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M MXM module is in. The property also offers up to two DDR4 memory at 2133MHz benches. Storage memory gets its information through a m.2 slot. The third m.2 slot for the WiFi and Bluetooth module.

With the GTX 950M should be the Brix smoothly uhd resolution may send out according to Gigabyte. The company has to Computer Base indicated that the mxm module can also be handed in, leaving place for other modules, such as additional storage. What the mini PC will cost is not yet known.
