Goclever Orion 70: Well-equipped 7inch quad-core tablet for under 90 euros – and it works!

At CeBIT, I predicted it to you yet, here it is. The first, saugünstigen quad-core tablets coming to the market in Germany. Perhaps one or the other dealer known Karlsruhe Jacob Elektronik offers the Goclever Orion 70 on a document originating from Chinese production 7-inch tablet, which met at first glance all the requirements of an actual tablet. The unit comes from the Polish brand Goclever that increasingly expanded to Germany and tried to put here with cheap Tablets foot.

The Goclever Orion 70 has a 7-inch IPS display with sufficient resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels. Under the hood, here lies the still quite new Allwinner A31 ARM Cortex-A7 quad-core processor with four cores and a 1.0 gigahertz integrated PowerVR SGX544MP2 graphics unit. The chip should offer sufficient power for most applications and support fairly decent multitasking. Add to this a whole gigabyte of RAM along with eight gigabytes of built-in flash memory which can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB.

In addition, Orion has 70 N-wireless (Bluetooth is not included), a Mini HDMI port and a microUSB OTG port and a simple VGA camera on the front. Of the 9 millimeters thick and 324 gram tablet battery has a capacity of 3000mAh, which should be sufficient according to the manufacturer for up to five hours of run time. Only at run time so you have probably cut back because the battery seems to be one of the points where you have saved – except of course the CPU. Optionally, there is also the Orion 70 with a cover with integrated keyboard, which does not seem to be available in Germany, however. The operating system Android 4.2.x “Jelly Bean” running, including all Google Apps and Play-store access.

What do you think? For 89.90 euros you can hardly go wrong, right? According to the electronics James Goclever Orion 70 is easily available within a few days.
