GOG.com starts own Early Access Program

Game distribution platform GOG.com has started ‘Games in Development’. This program is similar to Steam’s Early Access, which users can buy games before those games completely developed.

GOG.com has announced to select self games to go before the Games in Development program. Therein it differs from the comparable Early Access Steam. The selection will be based on which games are the most promising and which games are most common in the community wishlist. The first five games for the program Starbound, Ashes of the Singularity Project Zomboid, Terra Tech, and The Curious Expedition.

The program encourages CPC its own Galaxy client. By making use of the client updates can be manually selected and there is an older version can also be restored. Of the games snapshots are made in development, during the development, with which it is possible to go back to earlier times in the development.
