Google advises users which lane in Maps navigation
Google will give users of its navigation in Maps advice on which lane they can best take while driving on the highway. So should prevent drivers miss a turn in heavy traffic.
The so-called Lane Guidance is available for motorists on highways in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland and the United Kingdom. For the Netherlands, no lane guidance and Google still mention not when it becomes available. In the new version of the Maps application for mobile phones available lanes are displayed, with the recommended lanes are marked.
According to Google, this functionality must ensure that drivers miss a turn because they for example through heavy traffic can not navigate in time to the right lane. Even in complex road situations must be so avoid misunderstandings.
