Google allows Nexus 6 and Android 5.0 Lollipop in the Netherlands because of SMS bug

Google, the Nexus 6 out only in the Netherlands and the SMS bug where Vodafone customers wrestle is resolved. Android 5.0 also comes Lollipop previously via ota update to Dutch users of Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, before the problem is solved.

That leaves Google in a statement to Tweakers. “We have discovered a software bug in Android 5.0 lollipop that allows Vodafone customers in the Netherlands can not send international text messages,” says Google, “This bug affects the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, but the Nexus 6. We have therefore decided to postpone the launch of the Nexus 6 and lollipop in the Netherlands until the problem is resolved. ” If this should be the case, is not known.

It is clear that the release in late November, as originally intended, will not be met. Some shops in the Netherlands are already taking pre-orders for the Nexus 6, but can deliver so later than the end of November. Monday appeared several complaints from Vodafone customers about not being able to send text messages with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
