Google and Microsoft signs manifesto to boost education program




During the Education Festival in Eye in Amsterdam introduced Startup Delta ‘Code Pact, an initiative to give all Dutch children the opportunity to learn programming. Within the initiative, several public and private sectors work together.

The manifesto was signed during the educational festival, where people working in the education sector will try to form a picture of the world in 2032. Under the watchful eye of special envoy Neelie Kroes Startup Delta signed various public institutions and private companies CodePact- manifesto .

The signatories, including Microsoft and Google, declare that they want to prepare all children up to the Netherlands in the future. That should include done by giving children the chance to learn programming and to assist schools with the professionalization of teachers.

According to the site to any organization that wishes to contribute actively report to the initiative. The organizations already doing, facilitate various programs. Most of the partners currently offers training courses or teaching materials, primarily focused on seven and eight of elementary education.

The project will run until January 1, 2016 and is coupled into the second half of the existing Technology Pact.
