Find a Question:
Google bought SmartWatch company WIMM
A Smart Watch is of course nothing new, some companies already have – more or less unsuccessfully – brought a clever clock on the market. Hope is now set to “large” companies that will give some boost to the development. The next big market entry is likely to come from Samsung, here is the Samsung Galaxy Gear expected at IFA 2013. But of course, other companies are strong here, for you to discover new business opportunities.
Now came out: Google has bought in the last year the company WIMM, which was responsible for the production of Smart Watches. So Google bought here probably capable people and technology to then maybe someday own the SmartWatch on Android to bring based on the market. WIMM started with an Android-based platform for wearable displays before getting started with your own Smart Watch WIMM One, 2011. For just under a year is to read at WIMM that you would be entered into an exclusive partnership – not that you would buy. Google Nexus Gear – ick you hear the wind is blowing.
