Google brings modular smartphone Macaw Project this year in Puerto Rico
Google wants consumers this year to test a prototype of Project Ara. That the search giant announced on his Ara Developers Conference. Google therefore keeps a pilot in the Latin American country Puerto Rico.
On a slide that CEO Paul Eremenko showed, it appeared that Google is aiming for this year after the Spiral 2 still make a third prototype -prototype, after the test in Puerto Rico has yet to start this year. The third prototype is no longer a soc Marvell or Nvidia, but specifically designed for this purpose soc Rockchip with Cortex A7 cores and native UniPro support. Nevertheless, Google expects that an Ara-phone a quarter more energy than a regular Android smartphone.
