Google Drive is becoming a backup and synchronization service for every computer

Google is poised to increase the utility of its cloud storage service Google Drive by introducing a new service update that allows users to keep a backup copy of all their folders on the computer’s hard drive and keep them synchronized with their account through the service.

The company plans to roll out this feature by June 28, as cloud services are a large storage space, but they are limited in size, depending on what the user pays for additional storage space for backups, photos, videos and other basic files.

Google aims to make this process more visible by changing the stereotype of its Google Drive brand and its application on PC and Mac computers to allow more people to use their cloud storage offerings to back up their computers.

The company is launching a new tool called Backup and Sync, which aims to help users daily backup files and images on their computers, so that these files are safe and easy to access from anywhere.

The new tool is the latest version of Google Drive for PCs and Macs, which is now integrated with Google Photos. Once the tool is launched, the application will provide a simplified way to schedule automatic backup.

The company has not announced any changes to the subscription plans for backup and synchronization, as the free version of the service gives the user through any Google account 15 GB of shared storage across all services of the company.

The user can choose which folders they want to automatically include in their backup to their Google Drive storage account, making backup and syncing a more attractive option for people looking to back up their photo collections and Microsoft Office suite documents for free.
