Find a Question:
Google goes offline, Internet traffic breaks
There were only a few minutes last night, in which all Google services were offline. Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive and other services were suddenly no longer available. What effect this has on the entire Internet traffic, the following graph shows. At a stroke (the time of the blackout), there were suddenly 40% less traffic.
Interesting is also the peak that follows after the Google services were back online. The whole shows very clearly how dependent we are but of certain services, especially when a large number of providers of these offers. What caused the failure is not yet known. Technical problems can occur anywhere, even at Google. So it’s good if they are of short duration.
Are you trying to use all your different web services with the same provider or scatters your such a large area as possible? Would bring you in trouble a long blackout of Google services?
