Google is upset with the MPAA, reports TorrentFreak. When the search giant announced download sites below to place in search results, the MPAA came with a skeptical response, which Google said not to want to work with the club lobby.

Google was not happy with that response, reports TorrentFreak based on emails that have leaked in the recent Sony hack. In an e-mail from October to film studios, including Sony Pictures, the MPAA says that Google does not want to collaborate or consult with the film club lobby. The company would feel insulted, while doing more than legally required. Google have officially left alone to get away after that infringe a copyright holder will report this.

The MPAA would have reacted skeptical because the advance could not assess whether the measure would be effective, something that eventually the case turned out to be.
