Google is updating Glass Glasses

Google has released an update for its augmented reality glasses. It’s been years since the glasses with built-in projector got an update. With version XE23, users can connect bluetooth keyboards to the glasses.

Google placed the changelog on its own website on Tuesday, and Glass users can get the update over-the-air for their device. The changelog only mentions a change, which allows users to connect Glass to input devices that work through bluetooth.

It’s not the only sign of life around Glass. Android Police reported Monday that the MyGlass app for Android suddenly got an update. MyGlass is the app from which users can manage their Glass from an Android device.

Google Glass was an experimental product sold by the search giant in limited edition a few years ago. The glasses have a built-in speaker and projector. This allows the Glass in the glasses to show a small image with, among other things, notifications or directions for navigation. There have been many rumors about successors, but nevertheless, Google has never given the experiment publicly.

It is unknown what the new updates mean. It could indicate that a team in Google looks back at Glass and Technology. Meanwhile there are rumors that Apple is working on a similar initiative.
